Low-impact and high-intensity.

Our cycle program, housed in dedicated cycle studios, takes indoor cycling to new levels. Our classes feature fun and intense rides with the best cycle-specific instructors in DC.

The best part? As a MINT member, you don’t forgo strength training, cardio, yoga, barre, or other class workouts for cycle… it’s all under one roof.

MINTRIDE
Looking for a cycle class that does it all? Try MINT’s signature performance-driven class, MINTRIDE. Hills, flats, sprints, power intervals… you’ll experience it all in this low-impact, high-intensity, ridiculously fun cycle class.

MINTFuze
Trying to take your workout up a notch? Our signature strength and cycle mashup class, MINT Fuze is a must-try! This fusion class brings cycle and Power Playground together in perfect high-intensity training harmony. Here’s how it works: You’ll start in the cycle studio, take it to the Power Playground floor, and then finish up on the bike! The workout will be intense, physical boundaries will be challenged, and results are a guarantee. All levels are welcome as modifications or advancements are always offered.

Interval Express Ride
Need a quick, but effective, ride? An Interval Express ride awaits! Science tells us that incorporating HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) into our workouts can improve our caloric burn, increase our metabolic burn, and deliver better results in less time. This is great news for those of us on a tight schedule… because these rides are short, sweet, ultra sweaty (but not stinky)! This is also a great cycle class to pair with core, yoga, Pilates, or strength training.

Rhythm Ride
Need to zone out from your tech-driven life and feel the beat? Done! During Rhythm Ride classes, we ditch the phones, ditch the monitors and numbers, and unplug the PIQ. This ride is your beat-driven, no-frills, back-to-basics kind of class! Jumps, tap backs and arms may be included. Warning: Dance parties may break out and you may smile uncontrollably!

MINTRIDE60
Advanced riders…take your MINTRIDE up a level! MINTRIDE60 is a 60-minute cycle class, that uses the PIQ system to track results. This ride will help you build endurance (the ability to ride longer) and stamina (the ability to maintain strength and power longer) through a series of hills and drills.

Rise n’ Ride
Need a good ride to get your day started? Look no further than our Rise ‘n’ Ride class, the morning version of our signature MINTRIDE. This class will use the PIQ system to keep you motivated and help track results. Get in, get it done, and get on with your day!

Tour de MINT
Want to ride with the pros? Join us for this road-simulated signature cycling class, where you will ride like (and sometimes with!) the pros. This is a results-oriented class. You’ll achieve high mileage and strive for new goals as you focus on pedal stroke, form, and power.

Unlimited Cycle classes are included with MINT class-access memberships and our a la carte program.

Meet our Instructors
Ori Korin

Ori Korin
Cycle Program Director
Cycle

True story: Ori walked out of her first indoor cycling class five years ago midway through the second song. A couple years later, she gave it another shot and realized a good instructor, the right music, and a little perseverance go a long way. Her classes promise something for everyone, from the hard-core climbers to the wild speed demons, and her rides will help you leave the studio prouder and stronger than when you walked in. It’s a beautiful gift to have bodies that work…let’s celebrate them! When she’s not cycling, you can find Ori thinking big communications thoughts in the labor movement, trying to make sequins work-appropriate, and drinking obscene quantities of Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee.

Sasha Whitney
Sasha Whitney

Sasha’s photo attached. Bio: Looking for a low impact workout after unofficially retiring from running, Sasha took her first indoor cycling class and was instantly hooked! Naturally, the next step from 3-5 days per week riding in the crowd was to hop on the podium and start teaching. When not teaching cycling or taking a class, Sasha gets her fitness kicks at sculpt yoga or MADabolic. Outside of fitness, cooking, meditation, and curling up with a good book are some of her favorite ways to mellow out. Also endless Instagram stories. In Sasha’s class, expect a high intensity and energy ride to hip hop, r&b, techno remixes, and a little trap with melodic hypnotizing beats that will leave you sore but wanting more!

Allison Schachter
Allison Schachter

Looking for a way to procrastinate from thesis writing in grad school, Ally joined her friend for her first cycle class and was instantly hooked. She brings her love of music and excitement to each of her classes. When she isn’t in front of a class, Ally works as a public health professional by day and is an avid baker (the true motivation for her cycling habit).

Chelsea Souza
Chelsea Souza
Audrey Lamb
Audrey Lamb

Audrey loves sweating, screaming and dancing in a dark room on stationary bikes. She has been leading spin classes around the DMV for over 8 years. A certified holistic health coach, her classes emphasize the mind/body connection and just how good you’ll feel after you walk out of her class. Audrey is a Boston transplant who appreciates flashy Athleisurewear, a good pinot noir, and anything with frosting.

Katie Frost
Katie Frost

Katie started teaching cycling when she was 17 and taught for six years all through college and graduate school. After graduation, working in consulting pulled her away for a few years, but she returned to teaching in 2017, and she’s thrilled to join the MINT team. Katie designs each class around a goal: strength, speed, endurance, or intervals. She’ll help you pursue that goal as you climb, jump, and sprint to inspirational and heart-thumping music. You’ll sweat and groove to the beat in the saddle and on the pedals. Most importantly, you’ll finish a little fitter, stronger, and more powerful than you started.

Off the bike, Katie helps the whole region move working for Metro. She loves reading sci-fi, painting, and running in Rock Creek Park. Ride on.

Julia Rodenas
Julia Rodenas

Julia received her B.S. in Bioengineering at University of Maryland, studying topics such as biomedical technologies, biomechanics, and physiology. Before college, Julia was a competitive figure skater for over 10 years. Her rigorous training schedule required hours of training on and off the ice. This is where Julia’s passion for health and fitness first began, and it has transformed and grown since then. Julia is a Spinning certified instructor via the Mad Dogg program. Her goal is to transform her clients–both body and mind– through motivational, intentional, and FUN teaching methods that will build your physical and mental strength. With each ride you will find challenging endurance drills, intense speed work, and music tracks that will inspire you to push harder, and have fun doing it! Outside of the gym, Julia spends time with her friends finding the best ramen spots, or exploring DC’s local music scene.

Bethany Imondi

Bethany has been teaching spinning for more than five years. She loves to make themed playlists and choreograph her classes to the music. In addition to indoor cycling, Bethany is a four-time marathoner and certified group fitness instructor.

Nikki Mueller
Nikki MuellerCycle

Nikki Mueller is a Spinning certified instructor, the original and old school indoor cycling training program used by athletes since 1991. Her classes focus on building strength, endurance, and improving your cycling form. A lifelong athlete and dancer, she has competed in marathons and half marathons around the country, loves outdoor trails and MINT’s yoga classes. Maggie Dallas
Maggie DallasCycle

Maggie earned her cycling certification from Mad Dogg Athletics and has been teaching cycling at Mint for 3 years. She loves the energy you get from attending a group fitness class, and tries to bring that same excitement to each of her classes. When she’s not on the bike, you can find her around DC in search of a good slice of pizza.

Adam Ungson
Adam UngsonCycle

Looking for a competitive and fun fitness class, Adam’s went to his first indoor cycling class two years ago. After getting immediately hooked, he made it a goal to combine catchy uplifting songs, the power of the beat, and intervals training to help others achieve their fitness goals. Passionate about music, he incorporates rhythmic movements that challenge all fitness levels. When off the bike, this native Californian enjoys attending concerts, playing volleyball, and discovering new recipes with his Vitamix blender.

Krista Highland
Krista HighlandCycle

Like most things, Krista approaches class instruction with a scientific mind and fun spirit. As an instructor, she emphasizes the intrinsic reward of hard work, free of unnecessary struggle. Her classes are designed with careful consideration to build heat, generate courage, and push performance, often leaving students with the self-induced sweet satisfaction of sweat and accomplishment. Krista completed the Spinning Instructor Certification, ACE Group Fitness Certification, and a 200-hour yoga teacher training program with Master Instructor, Mimi Rieger. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys reading the latest exercise physiology research, powerlifting, and taking her sweet pup, Miss Tenley, on long runs in Rock Creek Park.

Piper Hendricks

Piper has been passionate about fitness for as long as she can remember and loves sharing that enthusiasm for health. She has run eight marathons, including Boston and Athens (the original!) and just completed her third 1/2 Ironman triathlon. After college, she earned her AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America) certification and discovered the joy of sharing fitness with others through teaching yoga and kickboxing. After law school, Piper began sharing her love of running (and of Washington, DC) with residents and visitors as a guide with City Running Tours and continues to work as a running coach. She tries to challenge and encourage her classes simultaneously, aiming to get people out of their comfort zone and feel so great about it that they’d like to do it again!

Elizabeth Stodolski
Elizabeth StodolskiCycle

Lizzie started teaching at MINT in October 2016. Lizzie has always been drawn to cycling because its accessible for so many people, at so many different ages, fitness levels, through injuries and special conditions, and yet it still delivers a great workout to everyone! This lead her to obtain her Spinning certification via the MadDogg program. Lizzie believes that they key to staying focused and pushing yourself is variety. In her class you can expect to be presented with a variety of challenging drills designed to help you build strength, endurance, and improve your average speed. You’ll be challenged to stay out of the realm of what’s comfortable, and push yourself just a little bit harder each time you get on the bike. Lizzie also sees class as her time to play DJ, so if your workout playlist needs an upgrade, stop into her class to hear some new jams. When she’s not teaching or working out at MINT you can find Lizzie at Flash, Harris Teeter, or petting someone else’s dog.

Claire Beeuwkes
Claire BeeuwkesCycle

Originally from New England, and a varsity athlete throughout high school and college, Claire took her first spin class eight years ago while living in Santiago, Chile. Although she could barely understand what the instructor was saying – the music and energy was amazing, and soon she was attending class daily, improving her Spanish, giving her knees a break from running, and connecting with other students and instructors. Best of all it’s like rowing and running – only have to go fast in one direction – helpful for those of us who lack hand-eye coordination. A year ago, Claire started spinning again regularly in D.C., and was motivated to get certified through Mad Dogg Athletics in 2016. She loves the community that indoor cycling creates, and motivating riders with upbeat music, challenging climbs, lots of energy, and strong encouragement. Follow her on Instagram: @kcbeefit
