Cleanliness and safety have always been a priority for MINT. Our focus on total wellness and a healthy lifestyle has evolved every day to include new safety standards to protect both members and staff from today’s pandemic. To keep the MINT community safe, we must all do our part.

As of September 20th, proof of vaccination status must be provided to enter MINT Dupont or participate in any MINT classes.

Read about our reopening procedures here.

Our Heightened Deep-Cleaning Process

MINT Cleaning Standard
Top-grade disinfectant & more frequent cleaning. Staff will use a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after check-ins — with heightened attention to all high-touch surfaces. We’ll also be cleaning the club from top to bottom every night.

Staff face masks & gloves.  Due to the most recent DC government mandate, starting Tuesday, March 1st masks are not required indoors.

We have installed an airPHX cleaning system. This groundbreaking technology organically treats the air and kills germs and viruses in the air and on surfaces.

Before You Exercise

MINT Safety Standard - Mask

Health Declarations. Before coming into the club, members must sign a Health Declaration and Screening stating that members agree to the health and safety parameters put in place by our government. Members must complete an e-form, available here, at least 24 hours before entering the facility. Due to the most recent DC government mandate, starting Tuesday, March 1st masks are not required indoors regardless of vaccination status. Starting Monday, September 20th, proof of vaccination status must be provided to enter MINT Dupont or participate in any MINT classes.

Appointments required for entry. All members are required to book an appointment via MBO to enter the club for their chosen work-out…whether this is general gym time, working with a trainer, etc.  We will not accept walk-ins at this time.

Staff hospitality and safety. Your studio staff is here to help, from a safe distance. We’ve put a protocol in place that limits staff from leaving the front desk, aside from cleanings. When absolutely necessary, staff will safely assist clients as best as possible.

Cancel exercise appointments by the deadline. To allow as many members as possible to work-out, we’ll be strictly enforcing our cancellation policy—please remember to cancel at least two hours prior to your appointment.*Personal Training Appointments and ‘Select’ classes fall under different cancellation guidelines.

Hand sanitizing stations and gym wipes stations have been increased around the club for easy member access.

Checking In

MINT Safety Standard - Touchless CheckIn

Touchless check-in. Our Studio Assistant team will help you check-in via a touchless system at the front desk.

Social distancing practices. Our staff will work to get members in and out of studios while maintaining social distancing practices. To help, floor markers will indicate a safe distance in the entry, locker rooms, and bathrooms. We ask that you wait outside of the building for your appointment time.

Come prepared. We highly suggest bringing only necessities. Due to the most recent DC government mandate, starting Tuesday, March 1st masks are not required indoors regardless of vaccination status. Starting Monday, September 20th, proof of vaccination status must be provided to enter MINT Dupont or participate in any MINT classes.

Late entries. Once the club door closes for appointments that hour, you will not be permitted to enter.

NEW Touchless Water Bottle Filler. We strongly urge you to bring your own water bottle or purchase a MINT stainless drinking cup.

Keep right. Keep to the right when entering and exiting the studio.

Sanitizing wipes. We will continue to provide sanitizing wipes around the club for before and after equipment use. Member accountability for wiping down equipment after use is imperative.

Some equipment will be marked out of service to maintain safe distancing.

After You Exercise

Please pay attention to the time and exit the building promptly at the end of your appointment. Please take all personal items with you when you leave. Respecting appointment times allows for proper transition times and social distancing among appointment groups.

MINT Member Responsibility: Keeping each other safe.

We’ve put many changes in place—and there are a lot of details beyond what you see here. Our new safety process will be most effective if we all make sure to do our part.   Aside from respecting the safety guidelines put in place by our governments, please do your best to respect the space and safety of others.

Please make sure to practice social distancing when in close, shared spaces like restrooms. Follow the markers placed around the studio to maintain a safe distance.

If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the studio until you are symptom and fever-free for at least three days.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the studio for at least 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.

If you feel unwell or have any concerns about coming into MINT to exercise, please stay home and stay safe. Alert us if you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last club visit. We will email notification to all potentially exposed persons if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at a MINT location.

As in the new-normal everywhere, we are asking members and staff to limit person-to-person contact. Trade a hug or high-five for a Namaste or elbow bump.

Community and support are still an important part of the MINT culture — but right now, adapting some of our habits is increasingly important to keeping us all safe…while still feeling loved.

We understand that change can be overwhelming at times.  But once you begin your workout, one you have been looking forward to for a while – you will find we are the same MINTy fresh retreat that keeps you motivated and well…only safer with evolved practices.  Stay positive and we can’t wait to see you soon!

Whether you plan to join us in the studio, or feel more comfortable staying home, we’re here for you. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our General Manager, Bresni Maldonado at Bresni@mintdc.com.
