SGT Spotlight: Spin & Sculpt

MINT’s Spin & Sculpt SGT series combines cardio and strength into one efficient and fun workout. Attendees will spend 30 minutes in the cycling studio doing a rhythm-based workout on the bike. Then, head to the fitness floor for 30 minutes of strength training.

Most classes focus on either cardio or strength training; with Spin & Sculpt, you get both in an action-packed hour. Bound to get your heart pumping and muscles burning, this class is the best of both worlds. Cardio exercises improve heart health, endurance, and maximize calorie burn. Strength training works your muscles, improves stability, and supports metabolism. Together, they complement each other in ways that improve overall health and overall fitness.

One major benefit of combining cardio and strength exercise is the total-body workout it provides. While strength training helps build lean muscle, cardio aids in fat loss. The combination can shape your physique, increase energy levels, and allow for greater mobility in the long term. Blending these two forms of exercise is also great for injury prevention.

Spin & Sculpt isn’t just a small group training session; it’s also an education. In the cycling studio, you’ll learn proper form, efficient glute activation, and how to maximize WATTs. In the strength portion, you’ll focus on movements that improve posture, stability, and performance on the bike. Members will learn proper form for bodyweight and weighted exercises, as well as proper cycling form. The complementary exercises will help you become stronger and more confident, and improve your fitness on the bike and on the floor.

The SGT is led by powerhouse instructor Raffi Umanzor. You’ve probably seen Raffi in the cycle studio, leading our popular Power Ride classes, or in the weight studio coaching MINT’s signature Power Playground classes. Whether pushing you to ride farther or up your weights, Raffi brings energy and positivity to every class he teaches. With over a decade of experience, he leads music-driven rides and high-intensity interval sessions that are so much fun you’ll forget how hard you’re working.

This SGT runs from May 15 to June 26, 2026.
